As a traveller do I have to accept the lowest price quoted?

No. You can accept whichever quote you wish even if this is not the lowest price. The choice is yours! We aim to make our property descriptions as comprehensive as possible so that you can make an informed choice and get the best possible value.

 
As a traveller for how long can I receive quotes on my enquiry?

For as long as you like! Villabazaar does not impose a cut off on your enquiry, it stays "live" until you accept a quote or withdraw the enquiry (for example if you decide not to travel after all). The only time that the villabazaar system closes an enquiry down is when your holiday start date passes.

Remember however that an owner may be quoting on other enquiries for the same dates as yours or may be advertising their property through other media. Owners are allowed to withdraw a quote at any time before you accept it (if for example they get another booking for those dates).

 
As a traveller how many enquiries can I make at any one time?

As many as you like! You can make several enquiries for different locations on the same dates, several different dates for the same location or different dates AND locations!

So, not sure whether you want to go to Spain or France for those 2 weeks in June? Make two enquiries, one for Spain & one for France and see what prices you get quoted!

Want to go to Spain but not sure whether you want to travel in June or July? Again, make 2 enquiries and see what prices you get?

Don't forget you can modify an enquiry at any time BUT if you want to change dates you must create a new enquiry for those new dates!

 
As a traveller, why do I need to create a new enquiry if my holiday dates change?

Many travellers want to plan more than one holiday at a time so creating a new enquiry ensures that owners get an accurate picture of what you are looking for which in turn ensures you only get offers on properties which are genuinely available for the dates you want.

 
As an owner, do I have to offer the lowest quote to be successful?

No, the traveller does not have to accept the lowest quote. They will have a variety of properties offered to them at a variety of prices. The traveller will make a decision based on the offer they feel represents best value for them. For example, you may feel that another property bidding for an enquiry is not as good as yours and therefore you may quote a higher price to reflect the better quality of your property.

 
Can I pay in a currency other than British Pounds?

Not yet! Currently we only accept payment in GBP given that most foreign payment cards will allow payments to be made in GBP with the charge converted to the card holders domestic currency on their bill.

However if feedback suggests that we should take payment in other currencies we will consider doing so...please let us know!

 
Can I quote for more than one enquiry with the same (or overlapping) dates?

Yes, of course! The system will allow you to quote on as many enquiries as you wish even if those enquiries have identical or overlapping dates. If one of those "overlapping" quotes is accepted your quotes on any other enquiries remain "live" in the system; it is up to you to withdraw them when you wish. We would advise you to only withdraw the other bids when that first acceptance has been converted into a booking thus keeping your interest in those other enquiries alive until you are certain you have secured a booking for those dates! However, PLEASE withdraw bids when you have secured a booking and your property is no longer available for the respective dates.

 
Does Villabazaar handle payment of the booking fee?

NO. The only payments we take are from owners in respect of using this site to market their property & from travellers in respect of our providing them with the search facility. The actual holiday booking fee is paid by the traveller direct to the owner. Furthermore Villabazaar receive no commission on any booking fee.

 
How many properties can I register?

As many as you wish! We charge an annual fee for each property registered. Please see our charges page (link top right) for full details. If you are an agency or multi-site operator we are happy to discuss discounted rates, see the charges page for further details.

 
What does it cost?

Nothing! It's free. That means it is free to list a property and it is free to make an enquiry and it is free to quote a price and it is free to accept a quoted price. All of it free.

What exactly am I quoting for?

Your quote is the price you want to charge the traveller for the rental of your holiday home. In your listing you should state whether there are any potential additional charges for things like linen, cleaning or pool heating. In our experience travellers are increasingly looking for a fully inclusive price with no add-ons so we highly recommend that you quote a price which will cover all the incidentals.

 
What happens if the traveller decides not to complete the booking after I have paid the contact fee and made contact with the traveller?

We charge travellers a small fee when they accept a quote. This is intended to put of timewasters but is not a big enough charge to deter genuine travellers. However as per our terms & conditions all price agreements are made "subject to satisfactory contract being agreed". Villabazaar can accept no responsibility for the progress of a booking after we have released traveller contact details to the owner. In the event that we are advised of a particular traveller abusing the system and repeatedly failing to progress a booking we will bar that traveller from using the site and may at our discretion refund owners' acceptance fees.

 
What information will I get about a traveller when I pay the confirmation fee?

We will give you the name, email address and contact number(s) supplied to us by the traveller when they registered. We will not release the full postal address.

We will give the traveller the same contact information about you.

 
What is the "Property Credit"?

Property credits are simply our way of managing the payment and property listing process. In simple terms you are just paying before you compile your property details rather than afterwards. Once you have bought your credit(s) you can complete your property listing whenever you want (credits DO NOT expire). If you have more than one property to list this means that you can pay for them all in one go and then do your property listings at your leisure!

 
Why can't I put contact details in my property description?

The integrity and fairness of the quotation and acceptance process relies upon the process being anonymous. Our privacy policy also requires that both owners' & travellers' personal and contact details are only made available in the event that a quotation has been accepted by a traveller and confirmed by the owner.

This also helps to protect you from phishing, spam and other unsolicited marketing threats.
